             Dear band,
Alas, we'll be resuming band practices as of NEXT MONDAY, 20 July! Yay! :) Please fall in @ 2.45pm outside the band room. Let's start everything well- be on time! There's a lot to be done within the next few weeks. We've to prepare for the Annual Speech Day (date still not confirmed) & the National Day Celebrations in school. Percussionists, get ready to carry your drums and march! Start training now! =p
Also, the annual Band Fiestas are back! Please try to organise group/section outtings and attend the following performances happening free, @Singapore Botanical Gardens, Shaw Foundation Stage, 5-7pm. Have a picnic, bring some tidbits and enjoy an evening of music with your family & friends! Details are as follows:
19 Jul:
Tampines Secondary School
Meridian Junior College
Zhenghua Secondary School
Yuhua Secondary School
Tanjong Katong Secondary School
26 Jul:
St Margaret’s Secondary School
Chung Cheng High School (Yishun)
St Joseph’s Institution
Raffles Junior College
Yuying Secondary School
As band members, we need to constantly know what the band standard of other bands are. We need to be aware and keep ourselves in the loop of the things happening around us. Please try to attend at least one of the performances. Open your eyes and ears, and be dazzled away by the possibilities of school bands! Let's aim to play there one day! If they can do it, so can we! :)
Looking fwd to next Monday,
Ms Seow

             Dear band members,
I announce with much regret that I've more boo-boos to announce. *sigh* So bear with it, and look forward to more good things to come ya? :)
1. CCA will continue to be suspended for this week.
2. Speech day has been postponed till further notice.
3. N7 cluster ensemble competition has been cancelled.
I guess 3 booboos are more than enough here. So.. SLs and leaders, please pass down the msg & ask your juniors to check the band blog for any new updates ok? Meantime, let's all work hard! :)
Cheers,
Ms Seow

Formed in 2000, the Woodgrove Secondary Symphonic Band was a young band. Slowly, the band grew and took part in countless school events and external performances. The Woodgrove Secondary School Symphonic Band is now a musical ensemble made up of woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments and may include a string bass. Our musicians play a repertoire of music from classical to pop.
